Why have your dog professionally groomed?

How often should my pet be Groomed?

The length and type of your dog’s coat will determine how often your dog needs to be groomed. How much brushing and de-matting that you do in between grooms will also make a significant difference. It is recommended that your dog is rebooked for an appointment that is 6-8 weeks away.

How much does it cost for my pet to be groomed?

Pricing is based on the breed, hair length, temperament, and grooming history. If your dog comes into our mobile salon with matted fur, there will be additional charges due to the extra time needed to groom. Please read our price list for a guide to cost.

Can i stay and watch while you groom my pet?

As your dog loves you very much they will wiggle, wag their tail and move around trying to get close to you which is not safe while I am grooming. It is best for you to continue with your day and I will bring your dog to your door when finished. You are more than welcome to check out the mobile salon. We are very happy to show our customers around the grooming room so they can see where their pet will have their groom.

Our insurance policy also does not cover us for clients to be in the mobile salon.

Do i have to be at home while you groom my dog?

No, however I do obviously request that for your first appointment you are so that your pet feels comfortable from the start. We can do our consultation and I can discuss the groom in person and go over all of your options and pricing. Once we get to know each other, you don't have to worry about being home.

What if i am not happy with the service my dog receives?

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the groom, then please advise within 1 business day so I can do my best to rectify it. Owners satisfaction is important to me and I take great pride in my service and want you as the owner to as well.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, we invoice and bank transfers. We will be offering eftpos in the near future.

My dog can be aggressive when being groomed?

Keeping a dog calm during the grooming process is just one of the requirements of a groomer. However safety to me and the dog is paramount so we can discuss any issues at our consultation and you can see the precautions I may need to take. Please note I reserve the right to refuse to groom or continue to groom any dog.

What if my pet has fleas?

If your pet presents fleas we reserve the right to treat your pet for those fleas.

My dog is matted and i don't want it shaved?

I reserve the right to determine whether it is humane to de-mat a dog and will offer suitable options for your dog.

When should my puppy come in for its first groom?

We recommend they come in two weeks after their last set of vaccinations. It is very important to have your puppy groomed as soon as possible so they can get used to it and learn to love the grooming experience. During their first visit your puppy will be introduced to the sights, sounds and smells of the grooming salon ensuring that future visits remain as stress free as possible. The amount of work that I can do on the puppy’s first groom, is decided by the puppy’s reactions to the grooming process. It is far more important that the process is a happy one.

I am covering the Tauranga area and nearby suburbs.

What happens if i need to cancel my appointment?

Please let me know ASAP if you need to cancel your appointment.

24 hours notice must be given if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice the cancellation fee is the full amount of the quoted groom. Changes to the service you are requiring also requires the same minimum 24 hour notice. I will do my best to accommodate small changes.

Why am i not given an exact appointment time?

A one hour window is given so I can allow for extra time for travel or the last dog needing a bit more TLC. At the time of booking we can discuss further if a more exact time is required.

What do i need to provide?

A standard power connection and a standard hose tap that I connect to. I will come with power lead and hose and all connectors.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

Yes.
